Woods of Ypres is a Canadian melodic black metal band. They play a style that has somewhat Doom Metal influenced with a darker atmosphere.

They are signed to Krankenhaus Records, which is David Gold's record company.

In 2005 the band went through more lineup changes, bringing in Dan Hulse on bass and vocals and Chris Mezz on the drums, allowing Gold to play Guitar.

Soon after this, the writing process for the third album began, which has continued until recording was completed in 2007. Mastering Was completed in Late 2007 and the album has now been shipped out with a number of the pre-orders now in the hands of the fans.

The new Woods Of Ypres album is called, "Woods III: Deepest Roots And Darkest Blues".
