Lamb of God are an American heavy metal band formed in 1990 in Richmond, Virginia.

The band was previously known as Burn the Priest and released one self-titled studio album.

Officially formed in 1994, Lamb of God, which is today one of the leaders of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal, comprises vocalist Randy Blythe, guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, bassist John Campbell, and drummer Chris Adler.
