It Dies Today (sometimes abbreviated "IDT") is a metalcore band that formed in Buffalo, New York during September, 2001.

On January 17th, 2007 it was announced that frontman/lead vocals Nick Brooks had left the band and that Jason Wood would be the new vocalist. It Dies Today has posted two re-recorded songs from Sirens with Jason on their official MySpace page.

They are currently in the studio recording their third album, titled "Lividity", to be released January 27, 2009.

The band recently debuted a new track, titled "In the World Not Of", as a part of their live show and also put up the demo version of the song "Thank you for Drinking" on their MySpace page.

The new album is to be released January 27,2009.
