Rage Against the Machine (sometimes referred to as RATM, or more informally simply Rage), are an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1991.
The band's lineup, unchanged since its formation, consists of vocalist Zack de la Rocha, guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford, and drummer Brad Wilk.
In December 2008, Tom Morello revealed that Rage Against the Machine shows in 2009 were a possibility, although plans for the band to record a new studio album were very unlikely.
