As of June 2007, according to Billboard.com, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus have begun work on a second album that should be released in early 2009.

The band was pulled out of their confirmed appearances at the Australian Soundwave Festival Tour 2008 by Label president Jason Flom who promised to have the band in the studio by February 1st, but didn't pull through citing the current faltering position of EMI's financial problems.
