While The Punisher most often fights normal criminals, he has also had run-ins with some of Marvel's superhuman villains, including Jackal, Bushwacker, Doctor Doom, The Reavers and Bullseye.

Circumstances have even led him to battle Spider-Man, Captain America, Daredevil, Ghost Rider, The Hulk and Wolverine, in addition to Marvel superspy Nick Fury, although on other occasions, several superheroes become allies and partners for brief times.

In regards to Nick Fury, the two of them share a working relationship based on respect and a common military background.

Fury has provided Castle with information and assistance on more than one occasion, while Castle has undertaken covert missions at Fury's request.
