A band patch can come in a variety of sizes and shapes and is typically sewn or ironed on to a garment as a means to personalize an item. Band patches are wonderful for expressing ones tastes in music, television and even movies. Typically patches have reinforced edges to prevent wear and tear and are an adorable way to show support for a favorite band.
Band back patches differ from the traditional format in that they are much larger and are meant to cover the entire back portion of a jacket or t-shirt. A popular example of this style of patch is The Misfits back patch, 30th Anniversary design.
Cloth band patches offer a more raw finish, tend to be a little larger, and can be stitched on using a variety of techniques since they lack the reinforced edges characteristic of Iron on patches. These are typically made from canvas or heavy duty cotton.
