Info About Gym Class Heroes Store

The Gym Class Heroes are an American rap rock group from Geneva, New York formed 1997 when vocalist Travie McCoy met drummer Matt McGinley in high school gym class. The band began with playing at birthday parties and at clubs. This eventually led to their inclusion on the Vans Warped tour in 2003 and 2004. On their ride to fame, two of the bands original members left the band, Guitarist Milo Bonacci was replaced with Disashi Lumumba-Kasongo and Ryan Geise was replaced by Eric Roberts.

The band slowly built an online fan base, by posting video logs and tour diaries of their tour. The band eventually signed to Daycadance Records, which is Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz’s label and were added to the Warped tour line up for 2005 and 2006. In 2007, the band opened for Gwen Stafani on her The Sweet Escape Tour. The band has released five albums since their creation in 1997, all with varying success. With plans to complete a sixth studio album in the near future, the band continues to receive constant radio play.
